Wobbly dodgy table
Finished all my furnitures! all painted and shaded, done with the walls too, i ended up printing my wallpaper (which took me 3 hours since my printer is getting old). Originally i wanted a yellow wallpaper but i liked the washed lime colour of the current one so im happy.
Took me an extra one day of what suppose to be a week for sets and props, i might still be doing my props tomorrow, thx for my stupid 4 legged table. I had a dining table which has a pretty big role in the story, simply because everything happens on top, under and all around it. It turns out that making a sturdy stable 4 leg table isn't an easy task at all, spend whole day making it and it's not working, so i have to make a second one. The first one i make was using balsawood legs and foamboard table, BAD IDEA, it's very wobbly and too light, i've even put wires inside the legs that attached to the table but they didnt do much good, so for a second one, i made a special trip to Bunnings and bought a wood stick/rod (it's very long, carrying it all the way to school felt like going fishing) for the table legs, for the table i used 3 thick cardboards glued together, it's quite strong actually, like a triplex.
Some of the props i use, i bought from Workshop It at Chapel St. I was actually going to Handworks, but it is further down the street, so i decided to spend like half hour browsing thru the shop, found several stuff, cheap stuff, but what i really love is the flower miniatures, so lovely and nice, i also found a mirror with the right size and extra decoration ^^ ( i got a lil bit carried away).
First time painting with acrylics, nice paint, very solid and thick, having trouble on painting a flat colour tho, but finding it very easy to make old wood texture, I also used spray paint ( glossy enamel paint) for my fridge and floor, got a really toxic smell, made me feel dizzy, next time must wear a mask.
... will continue after this break...zzzzzzzz
